All indoor services are cancelled until further notice.
Stay Home. Stay Safe. God Bless.
We will have 9 AM outdoor worship services on 1st & 3rd Sundays.
After the County Health Officer confirmed that worship outside is permitted with masks and other safety concerns met, we are having bi-weekly communion services. We are asking everyone to come in masks and to observe a 6 foot spacing while meeting. We are asking that one you reach the place where you will be for communion that you observe a 8 foot spacing as we will need to remove our masks for communion. Little flags will mark the distances per county recommendations.
Those of you who are have health concerns are welcome to come in your cars and remain there throughout. We will have an offering box available for those you who would like to give a donation/ offering. We want to make sure we are following all the guidelines set out by the CDC and the county.
Please join us for home worship on your device
I believe regular worship is necessary, especially in this time of anxiety and fear, as there is so much unknown. I have included a simple worship to do at home that can be accessed any time. It will be posted for the week, then changed Saturday evening for the following Sunday morning. We are posting recordings of the worship service along with a worship bulletin to follow along with on this web site.
The local Methodist church will be streaming their service if you are able to watch it. Please take some time Sunday to either catch a worship service on TV or internet, or use the tools provided.
Grace Lutheran Church:
Council and I have spent a considerable amount of time in prayer and conversation over the past few days about the best choice for our family at Grace with regard to public worship in the face of efforts to slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and to protect the people in our community.
The County Health Department has recommended we suspend all indoor services & activities. We should only meet when there is room for all to social distance themselves. "Social Distancing" which is a data driven approach to slow the spread of the disease and protect the most vulnerable. Social distancing involves remaining 6 feet from another, the distance the virus can pass from person to person through cough, conversation, and sneezes.
These decisions are based upon love, not fear. It is based upon the clear biblical mandate to protect and honor the most fragile in our midst (See 1 Corinthians 13).
In addition, we are dividing up the congregation into care teams. The leaders of each team will be contacting people to make sure that they are okay through this difficult time. It is through these teams we will make sure that everyone has what they need. If you would like to be part of this ministry please contact the office,
462-7795 or Pastor 510-1217.
Please be assured that plans are being made for all aspects of our life in the weeks ahead. We hope, pray, and encourage that your financial support of the ministry will remain strong as well. This is a critical time for the church, and if you are able, please mail in your giving to the office. If you have been blessed above and beyond, please consider making a special donation at this difficult time, as the needs of the people continue to grow.
In the love of Jesus,
Pastor Kristi Gallimore
